Natural white sage in the oil
White sage, lat. Salvia Apiana, grows in the southwest of the United States, mainly in California and northwest Mexico. It is a well-known medicinal plant and has been used for centuries as a purifying plant in natural medicine and ritual incense. It is said to have anti-inflammatory and calming properties, which can be seen in its numerous applications in modern medicine.
When used for smoking, it exudes a pleasant and relaxing fragrance. Due to its medicinal properties, it is also used in Ayurveda as a purifying plant for cleansing the body, in which the dried sage is used in smoking treatments.
With our large sage sticks, you can enjoy the healing and cleansing properties of sage in many applications. White sage is a perennial and hardy plant. Its growth depends on the climate and annual rainfall. For this reason, the size of the flowers can vary from year to year, depending on the season and harvest. In periods of drought, the concentration of essential oils in the leaves is higher.
The smudge sticks are used with a heat-resistant bowl such as our Abalone Shell. After lighting the stick and blowing it out after a few seconds, the fine smoke develops.
This is then carried into each room that is to be cleaned and directed in the desired direction with a fan or your hand.
